Markazi: Sights and sounds of Mayweather

Oscar De La Hoya just made his behaviour pattern to his rump at the MGM Grand Garden. De La Hoya has been surprisingly not present this week in terms of media events and announcement conferences. In fact, his arrival at the wrangle was the triumph time I've seen him in Las Vegas this week. Not assured what that means but it's certainly exceptional considering this is the biggest fight Golden Boy has put on in some time. Jed Jacobsohn/Getty Images Many mature boxing observers were surprised to confer with Muhammad Ali sitting ringside. • • • Impressive outfit The exchange blows between Mosley and Mayweather has been billed as a archetypal matchup between two days passageway of famers and a quick glance at ringside reveals an evocative list of boxing's living legends who have come out to regard the fight firsthand.

Muhammad Ali just made his means to his ringside seat and is seated near "Sugar" Ray Leonard, Thomas "Hitman" Hearns and Oscar De La Hoya. Many of the experienced boxing writers seated beside me were shocked to ruminate Ali at the rail as they haven't seen him gather ringside for a run-in in years. • • • Not from head to toe a sellout There are gigantic pockets of empty seats in multiple sections of the arena perfect now and we're less than 30 minutes away from the foremost event. I was told this one-on-one was a sellout but unless a whopping amount of people are planning on coming in the next 15-30 minutes, this is far from a sellout, at least visibly. We'll envisage how it looks once the inauguration bell rings. • • • Celebrity-filled faction This is doubtlessly the best celebrity turnout in a decade for a Vegas fight.

I'm just looking from my install and I notice Will Smith hugging Muhammad Ali and giving him a spoon on the cheek, Magic Johnson shaking hands with Mike Tyson, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger talking to Mark Wahlberg, Jaime Foxx, P. Diddy, Jay-Z, Mariah Carey, Chris Brown, Michael J. Fox and, of course, what would a junto be without the irrational envisage of Nicky and Paris Hilton bobbing their heads to the prefight music.

Oh, and those clean seats I spoke of earlier have now filled up. This one looks find agreeable a sellout. The only quirk pink to do now is, in the great words of Mills Lane, "Let's get it on!" • • • Mayweather wins by decree In the end we got the development all had predicted -- Mayweather by decision. Mosley looked as if he had Mayweather on the ropes after enchanting the win two rounds and fascinating Mayweather through the toughest curvilinear of his job in the second, nearly dropping one of the best pound-for-pound fighters ever for the in the first place time.

After the promote round, however, it was all Mayweather, who took the press out of it and went to job on Mosley. As the zest progressed Mosley grew more tired and frustrated while Mayweather smiled and talked his route through each round. Well, that's it from ringside, brand convinced to check out my post-fight column on ESPNLosAngeles.com later tonight.
