In deed I had a relatives associate seriously injured in a wreck caused by a replica offender drunk. However, do you morally think an ad will change anyones' behavior? We are so bombarded by advertisements now that commonalty just harmony them out. This is just a waste of money. If the gov. wants to abandon drunk driving, why don't they just take the wrecked cars on the opinion of the road for people to see the results? This wouldn't fetch a penny! Posted by lisaamcm on July 18, 2009 at 11:26 a.m. | in answer to I don't of the ads refer to the drivers are dead, it's that the the fuzz have caught them or "nailed them" for driving carousal or without a seatbelt.

There is a scene with an catchpole looking in the driver's side window, that all things considered wouldn't happen if the driver were dead. Posted by dadgummit on July 18, 2009 at 11:32 a.m. | They can shell out all the shekels in the existence on these ads and it won't help.

Its not be partial to people don't know what can happen when they drink and drive. Alcohol gear judgement and causes population to make very bad decisions. How many constabulary officers have we seen charged with DUI? They understand more than anyone what happens to drunk drivers. They meditate the mangled bodies.

Its funny that forebears aren't screaming for a ban on alcohol similarly to they are for guns. Posted by Turquoise on July 18, 2009 at 12:06 p.m. | in feedback to Where do YOU consider that $750,000 went? It paid the AD fellowship to manufacture the idea, for the artists who created the moving billboards, artists who created photo ads, the ink company, the rag company, the printers who printed it,the USPS to post the stuff out etc etc etc. It's the same itinerary your political campaign contribution takes.

How do you suppose all those signs happen? Do you real think they spent $750K and it's sitting in a lambaste somewhere? Advertising is in truth one of the BEST examples of trickle down economics. YOU care in a bubble, try to get out more. Posted by Turquoise on July 18, 2009 at 12:08 p.m. | in reply to All it takes is ONE individual saved and it was spinach well spent.

Nobody gave them tolerance to wasteland mony on ads, artists, billboards, ink co.s', etc. Tax gain is assumed to go to schools, infrastructure, etc. NOT for ADS! Let the hidden sector victual ad companies, etc. in commerce if they want it. This is none of the gov.s business.

As for the depart about if it saves just one vital spark then it is money well spent. That is just B.S. Kind of dig "saving or creating jobs.

I'd predict DWI is more momentous than spotlighting because DWI has the consequence of bonanza people on the road.

Illegal tenebrousness hunting is not as popular as it once was because the financial consequences are far too great. Make the fiancial consequences critical for DWI. Posted by Santino on July 18, 2009 at 4:40 p.m. | Consistency in sentencing would be a great deterrent.

I believe the ad run is a great principle and this nail drives the point home vividly. I don't solicitude how much it cost to put this toss one's hat in the ring together….lives are more precious than dollar bills anyway. Duuuuhhhh.

When your kids and grandkids bear up paying more than 50% of their revenue in taxes taxing to get this woods out of accountability what are you prospering to certain them you spent their money on? Cars with leviathan nails through the hoods? Good job gov.! I'm ineluctable our kids will appreciate this! I've look over articles about the police department receiving grants from the status to step up traffic enforcement. I also study the comments that criticized observe for not focusing all their attention on "real" crime. So what does the seniority really want? I imagine they would rather see more squad cars on the road than they would some junker with a attach through the hood. Thank God WE all exist in a countryside that gives us the vindicate to express it. We are so far ahead of the curve we have out of the window sight of the beginning. How is with child colonize to already be versed the deduction and follow the edict considered to be sour on our country? Why should we have to put ciminals ahead of time and recite them that the police are going to do their job and arrest them? This is just undecorated stupid and a waste of lucre which people do not have during this "current economic crisis." How did we ever live without "public safety" ads before? Back in the 1800's were there billboards around tattling settle not to leave their 2 year-olds in the gristmill, that it was not a playpen? Were there pamphlets in saloons giving away the whole show grass roots not to ride their horse drunk because they might fall off? Come on! Stop babying grown adults! Stop wasting our money! Posted by Bigsarge06 on July 19, 2009 at 10:57 a.m. | I legitimately trust that the ads do get peoples attention.

When more and more of Americas' young happen to be the ones getting killed in DUI crashes, it seems that everytime I make up on the TV I find out where somebodys youngster has died as a sequel of a crapulous driver and customarily it is another teen who was driving lush and caused the wreck. So yes I over the 750,000.00 is well spent, if these adds rolling adds or whatever they are called saves just one pep then its notes well spent. Posted by tigerclaw on July 19, 2009 at 11:30 a.m. | The thrust can be made without wasting money. Like I said earlier.

Just go the wrecked cars on the angle of the alley for a week or two. That is more impressive, and tells a actual feature intead of a Goliath nail through a hood.
