Poll shows it’s affluent to be a tack

Former Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney tops the up-to-date Des Moines Register Iowa Poll in the closing days before Tuesday's Iowa caucuses, but U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and ex-Sen.

Rick Santorum are within superb distance. The poll, conducted Tuesday through Friday, shows take for Romney, a Michigan native, at 24%; Paul at 22%, and at 15% for the surging Santorum of Pennsylvania. But the four-day results don't throw back just how on the double impetus is shifting in a rush that has remained exceptionally flowing for months.
